What the service is
People I know text my business line and get a real answer back, usually within a minute or two. Not a menu, not a ticket number. The assistant is software I built and run myself, and I supervise it. When someone asks whether they are talking to a person or software, they are told plainly.
It exists because the questions people actually text about are small, urgent, and specific, and those are the ones that get lost in email or a phone tree.
What people receive
Answers to questions
A direct answer to what was asked, including a phone number to call when that is the fastest route.
Directions and places
Addresses and Apple Maps links for a business, meeting point, or destination.
Reminders
Reminders for things the person specifically asked to be reminded about.
Status updates
Confirmation that a task is finished, or an update on work in progress.
Every message is a reply to something the recipient sent, or a follow-up inside a conversation they started. Volume is low and roughly balanced between messages in and messages out.

The business line is (717) 929-8591. It is used for two-way conversation with people who already have my number and have agreed to be texted.
