What it does
The assistant answers questions by text. In practice that means a handful of recurring jobs:
- Looking something up and answering plainly. Hours, availability, a phone number worth calling, what is open nearby right now.
- Sending a location. An address and an Apple Maps link, so the recipient can tap straight into directions.
- Keeping track of things. Reminders and running lists that someone asked to have maintained, then confirming when they change.
- Reporting on work. Telling someone a task is finished, where the result is, and what to do next.
It says what it is
The assistant is software, and it says so whenever anyone asks. It does not pretend to be a person, and it is not used to impersonate anyone. Messages come from my business line and I am accountable for all of them.
How it is supervised
I built the system and I monitor what it sends. It only messages people who have given consent, it never initiates contact with someone who has not opted in, and it stops immediately when someone replies STOP. Opt-outs are honored automatically and permanently.
What it is not
It is not a marketing channel, a lead-generation tool, or a bulk sender. It does not send promotions, offers, or campaigns. There is no contact list to be added to, because the only way to receive a message is to have asked for one.
